Today I picked up my india ink & nibs for the first time in a long time. I. Am. Rusty. Not that I was ever flawless and masterful with inking but, wow, I think I made a mess of this. I love when people share their progress / trials & errors so I thought I'd do the same for you :)
This is the piece I was working on:
Notice the splatter at the top and the pool of black on the sleeve (not to mention the not-so-clean lines in general):
Hopefully I'll have better luck next time.

i actually like quite a bit! i find splatters and accidents kinda exciting... that's the crazy illustrator in me haha.
